Tracy Korby, RN, BSN, CMAN
Q: How did you conceive of the concept for Forever Young?
A: Interestingly, I hold a degree in business administration, but I ended up spending almost ten years in the nursing profession. I specialized in dialysis care, and in fact ran a successful home infusion program. Then, in the early 2000s, I had an “a-ha” moment after attending a seminar on Botox. I saw the possibility of providing something positive for patients, while utilizing my business background. A year later, Forever Young was born.
Q: How has your company grown since those early days?
A: I began by offering Botox and various peels exclusively, but as the aesthetics industry continued to create new and better products and ever more advanced equipment — which my clients enthusiastically embraced — it made perfect sense for me to expand Forever Young’s services into fillers like Restylane, and lasers for skin rejuvenation and hair removal. As of this moment, we are able to handle more than 30 specific, state of the art skin services.
Q: Did you have a mentor?
A: No, but about five years into my new business venture, I was fortunate enough to bring on young woman named Jazmin Gregario, whose overall support of the day-to-day operations here allowed me to attract a growing team of experienced practitioners … and to keep up with fastmoving advancements in the aesthetics industry by bringing in state of the art equipment and products. Her organizational skills and cheerful attitude are inspiring.
Q: You’ve called facial rejuvenation a “creative process.” Explain.
A: Our clients want to appear to be aging gracefully, even when they’re secretly fighting it all the way! I love working with both women and men to ensure a natural, less-is-more look. Although my specialty is dermal fillers, over the past 15 years I’ve become certified to practice with lasers, neurotoxins, Sculptra, mesotherapy, PRP, peels, sclerotherapy, radiofrequency, plasma technologies, CoolSculpting and more. Each of these services allows me, and my competent team, to be as creative as possible in staving off the effects of time using modern technology.
Q: What’s ahead for Forever Young?
A: I’m excited to support my longtime team members, who’ve developed expertise in a variety of specialties from plasma pens to CoolSculpting. I also spend as much time as my schedule allows mentoring our newer staff, who’ve allowed us to converse with clients in four languages. But at the end of the day, I want Forever Young to reflect the fact that beauty comes in all sizes and shapes, ages and cultures, sexes and colors. And that we can help anyone to achieve the younger looks they desire.
