Sculptra Aesthetic is not a typical filler like Juvederm® or Restylane®. Rather it is known as a bio-stimulator, a product which when injected into the face will stimulate new collagen growth within your own body. The effects are dramatic and subtle at the same time because the effects are extremely widespread but so very natural looking. Sculptra® Aesthetic can be used over the entire face to restore receding temples, deflated cheeks, and changing chins.

Sculptra® Aesthetic is made from poly-L-lactic acid which is both biocompatible and biodegradable and has been used medically for decades by doctors. When injected into a wrinkle or deep facial fold, the poly-L-lactic acid signals the body to produce new collagen in that area. Sculptra Aesthetic gradually replaces lost collagen over several months. A full treatment course is generally 3-4 injection sessions done over several months. The results have been shown to last 1-3 years.

The use of Sculptra Aesthetic is a true art form that requires an aesthetic eye and an advanced skill set. At present, Sculptra Aesthetic can only be administered by board-certified plastic surgeons, dermatologists, and approved and appropriately trained affiliated nurses like our Forever Young Laser & Skin Center professionals. But even the best staff needs assistance with facial restoration, so always bring a few old photos of yourself to your initial consult. The best photos were taken between 5-10 years ago.
